Joan Wulff’s Dynamics of Fly Casting: From Solid Basics to Advanced Techniques

This 1-hour 30-minute DVD is the culmination of Joan Wulff’s 60-year career as a champion fly caster, teacher and fly fisher. She shows and explains the mechanics and techniques she has been developing, analyzing and refining for those 60 years. The viewer will learn the important elements of great casting, vital hand and arm movements, practice routines that teach how to make almost all kinds of casts and some very special tips. They are all shown and explained, clearly and concisely, sometimes using on-the-water demonstrations and sometimes utilizing computer graphics.

The format of the DVD is in Chapter style (20 of them), with each Chapter focusing on one aspect of casting, or on special techniques to be utilized while casting.

The DVD begins with a Chapter that highlights Joan’s amazing and very successful career, her welcoming the viewer and then her explaining what she hopes will be gained by watching it.
